LETTRE DE PHIL APRES SON
OVERDOSE

I, Philip H.Anselmo, immediately after a very successful show in Dallas, injected a lethal dose of herion into my arm and died for 4 to 5 minutes. There was no lights, no beautiful music, just nothing. And then after 20 minutes (from what i heard later) my friends slapped me and poured water over my head all basically trying to revive me. The paramedics finally arrived and all I remember is waking up in the back of an ambulance. From that point on I knew all I wanted was to be back on the tour bus, going to the next gig. Instead I was going to a hospital where I was released very shortly. You see, I'm not a heroin addict. But I am (was) an intravenous drug abuser. The lesson I learned is that every nightmare ever heard about O.D.ing and/or heroin is terribly true. And for my friends and family and myself and our fans. I have since then recovered completely, the Pantera Tour uninterrupted. I intend to keep it that way!Special thanks to my friends and family who supported me, and the fans who pump me up to the hilt. One message to everyone in this fucking world. I am not a weakling groping for sympathy. I WILL NOT DIE SO EASILY! I'm here to piss off the music press for a long time to come.

Moi, Philip H.Anselmo, immédiatement après le concert triomphal de dallas, je me suis injecté une dose mortelle d héroine dans le bras et je suis mort pendant 4 à 5 minutes. Il n' y a pas de lumière, pas de jolie musique, simplement rien. Et apres 20 minutes (à ce que l' on m a dit) mes amis m ont giflé et aspergé d' eau sur le visage pour tenter de me réanimer. Finalement les secours sont arrivés et je me souviens de m' étre reveiller a l' arrière de l' ambulance. A ce moment je savais que je voulais rejoindre le tour bus, aller au prochain concert. Au lieu de cela j' ais été conduit a l' hopital ou j ' y suis resté tres peu de temps. Vous voyez je ne suis pas un héroinomane. Mais j' abuse (j' abusais) des drogues par intraveineuse. La leçon que j' en ais tiré est que toutes les choses horribles sur les overdose sont terriblement vrai. Et pour mes amis, ma famille, moi-meme et nos fans. J' ais depuis completement recupéré, la tournée ne fut pas interronpue. Et j' ais l' intention que ça continue dans cette voie. Un merci spécial a mes amis et famille qui m' ont supporté, et tout les fans qui m' ont soutenu a fond. Un message a ce putain de monde. Je ne cherche pas a attirer la sympathie. JE NE VAIS PAS CREVER SI FACILEMENT! Je continuerai a pisser sur la presse musicale pour encore longtemps.
